The Cuban Ambassador received the President of the Students of the University of Ghana

The President of University of Ghana’s Student Representative Council (SRC), Ms. Esinam Afi Seade paid a courtesy call on the Cuban Ambassador, Pedro Luis Despaigne González. The meeting took place at the Embassy of Cuba.

The Ambassador made a review of the historic relation between Ghana and Cuba and the most important facts that have linked both countries, since the moment of the establishing of diplomatic relations; the thousands of young Ghanaians who have studied and still continue studying in Cuba; the presence in the country of a Cuban Medical Brigade and also the continue support that Cuba have been receiving from Ghana regarding the injustice blockade impose by the United States of America that still affects the Cuban people. They agreed on the necessity of strengthening the links between the student’s organizations of both countries as a tool to increase the relation people to people.

Ms. Esinam Afi Seade was elected in the position on April 2016. She is also a former Miss Ecowas Ghana 2013 beauty queen and currently studying Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and English.

The First Secretary of the Cuban Embassy, Julio César Sánchez, also participated in the meeting.
