Cuban Ambassador is received by top leader of the Namibian Foreign Ministry.

Namibia, September 2nd, 2019- The Ambassador of Cuba to Namibia, Sidenio Acosta, was received at the headquarters of the Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation, by Ambassador Linekeela Mboti, Deputy Executive Director in charge of Multilateral Affairs and Cooperation.

Both diplomats exchanged on the excellent state of political relations and cooperation between the two countries.

They also recalled the cooperation between Cuban and Namibian troops in Angola, during the struggle for the independence of this African country.

Ambassador Acosta thanked his counterpart for Namibia's support for Cuba, in its fight against the US blockade. The Namibian diplomat condemned this policy and reiterated his country's solidarity with the Cuban cause.

At the meeting, held in a climate of brotherhood, the representatives of both countries reaffirmed the commitment of their governments to continue working to strengthen the historic bilateral ties.

The Namibian side also included Ambassador Michael Ndivayele, Director of Multilaterals and Audrey Gantana, an official in that Division. Aldo Fuentes, Third Secretary, accompanied the Cuban Ambassador.
