Ambassador:  As Cuban diplomats, we truly feel great pride in being in this country, which constantly shows us its infinite love and gratitude for what Cuba, modestly, contributed to the struggle for the liberation of Namibia.
 

Namibian Parliament approves motion against the blockade

The Namibian Parliament unanimously approved a motion on Tuesday demanding the lifting of US sanctions against Cuba.

The document, presented last September by SWAPO member of the parliament Tobie Aupindi, rigorously describes the essence of the US blockade against Cuba.

Namibian Vice President receives Cuban Ambassador

Most Honourable Lucía Witbooi, Vice President of the Republic of Namibia, received Cuban Ambassador Sergio Vigoa de la Uz.

During the meeting, held in an atmosphere of brotherhood and cooperation, the diplomat thanked the African leader, on behalf of the Cuban people and government, for Namibia's continued support in international forums against the United States blockade of Cuba and the island's inclusion on the list of alleged sponsors of terrorism.
