Cuban Ambassador Receives ILO Director in Zambia
Lusaka, March 16, 2026 - The Cuban Ambassador to Zambia and Malawi, Marileydis Dueñas Morales, met with the Director of the International Labour Organization (ILO) Office for Zambia and Malawi, Wellington Chibebe, to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, they explored avenues for collaboration to strengthen support systems for people with disabilities in Zambia, with technical support from Cuba and the ILO, to promote the inclusion of people with disabilities. They also discussed collaboration on other programs to improve the lives of Zambians.
This meeting follows diplomatic efforts undertaken by the Cuban ambassador in February 2026, including visits to the Mayor of Lusaka and meetings at the Zambian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. (Cubaminrex-Embacuba Zambia)
