CUBAN AMBASSADOR RECEIVES MAYORS FROM VARIOUS GREECE CITIES AND MUNICIPALITIES

In a friendly atmosphere at the Cuban Embassy in Athens, Ambassador Aramis Fuente Hernandez received a group of mayors from various Greek cities and municipalities.
The Ambassador extended a warm welcome to the mayors of Ikaria Island, Mr. Fanouris Karoutsos; the Kaisariani district, Mr. Ilias Stamelos; Petroupoli, Mr. Evangelos Simos; Chaidari, Mr. Michalis Selekos; Patras, Mr. Kostas Peletidis; and Tymavos, Mr. Asterios Tsikritsis. During their productive exchange, the Cuban diplomat provided extensive information on the current situation in Cuba and the ongoing negative impact of the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed and reinforced by the United States government against his country.
The mayors expressed their firm and unwavering solidarity with Cuba and reaffirmed Greece's feelings of friendship and support for their Cuban brothers and sisters. They also expressed their desire to continue strengthening ties and cooperation between their two nations.
