Dublin, April 7, 2023. On the afternoon of Thursday, April 6, the members of the National Political Committee of the Communist Party of Ireland visited the residence of the Cuban ambassador in Ireland, Bernardo Guanche Hernández, where in a fraternal day they exchanged points of view on the results of the past 26th National Party Congress, held last September in Dublin and the international situation.
Present for the Irish Communist Party were its National President, Ciara Ní Mhaolfhinn, the General Secretary, Jimmy Corcoran and Eugene McCartan, who until last year held this important responsibility, among other colleagues in his leadership.
The occasion was propitious for the Communist Party of Ireland to reiterate its solidarity with the Cuban people in the battle against the blockade, as well as the denunciation of Cuba's unfair maintenance on the US State Department's list of countries sponsoring terrorism.
The diplomat thanked the support of the Communist Party and wished his new national leadership success.
