Cairo, May 5, 2025. Cuban Ambassador, Alexander Pellicer Moraga, received this morning at the Cuban Embassy in this capital the Secretary General of the Egyptian Communist Party, Salah Adly, and other members of the party's leadership.
In the friendly meeting, the Cuban diplomat exchanged on the situation in Cuba, Egypt and the region. Emphasizing the tightening of the blockade and the unprecedented sanctions implemented to asphyxiate the Cuban economy and cause shortages of all kinds.
The Ambassador expressed that in the midst of these difficult living conditions, the Cuban people gave a demonstration of dignity and patriotism last May 1st when millions of Cubans all over the island came out to show their support for the Revolution and their rejection of the Trump administration's genocidal and graft-ridden policies.
The diplomat gave as an example of U.S. aggressiveness against Cuba the ferocious campaign being carried out against Cuban medical missions in order to cut off an important source of income for Cuba and damage health services to millions of people in the world.
Salah Adly reaffirmed the solidarity of his political party with Cuba and the condemnation of the genocidal and illegal blockade imposed by the U.S., while thanking Cuba for its position of support for the Palestinian cause and condemnation of Israel's aggressive and genocidal policy against this noble people who are fighting for their independence and sovereignty.
The Ambassador and the leaders of the party agreed on the need to reinforce the work of solidarity with the island in these difficult times when they are trying to annihilate the Cuban people through hunger and disease. (Embacuba Egipto)
