Cuban Ambassador in Saint Lucia visits the Leon Hess Comprehensive Secondary School

Teachers, Administrators and students of the Leon Hess Comprehensive Secondary School received the Ambassador of Cuba in Saint Lucia, Alejandro Simancas this past Monday, November 18th.  The Cuban diplomat, together with Dr. Adrian Barquín, member of the Medical Brigade in this country, held a meeting with the group of students who are studying about the Spanish language, with whom he exchanged on the reality of Cuba, its history and geography.  Afterwards, another group of students received a Conference by Dr. Adrian Barquín on the role of education, civic and social training. Both meetings became a broad and pleasant exchange in which the common values and traditions between the peoples of Cuba and Saint Lucia were confirmed. In addition, they were received by Rohan Lubon, the principal of this educational center with whom they had a cordial dialogue on the possibilities of cooperation in the field of education and culture. At the Leon Hess Comprehensive Secondary School, located in the eastern Castries district of Santa Lucia, there are two teachers employed, who have graduated from Cuban universities, who reflect the bonds of cooperation and friendship between the two countries.
