THE CUBAN AMBASSADOR SIGNS THE BOOK OF CONDOLENCES FOLLOWING THE DEATH OF THE FORMER PRESIDENT OF SURINAME, HIS EXCELLENCY MR CHANDRIKAPERSAD SANTOKHI.

Accra, 7 April.-  Ambassador of Cuba in Ghana, Julio E. Pujol Torres, signed the Book of Condolences opened at the Embassy of the Republic of Suriname in Accra, on the occasion of the passing of the former Surinamese President, His Excellency Chandrikapersad Santokhi.

At a meeting following the signing ceremony, the diplomat expressed his deepest condolences to the Ambassador and dear friend, Her Excellency Mrs Fidelia Grand-Galon, on behalf of her people and government, as well as to the family of the distinguished Caribbean politician.

Cuba and Suriname have maintained a historic relationship of cooperation and friendship for more than 47 years.
