Colombo, April 24, 2024. At the Cuban diplomatic mission in Colombo, the Cuban ambassador to Sri Lanka Andrés Marcelo González Garrido held a meeting with the Sri Lankan delegation that will participate in the celebration activities in Cuba for the May 1st, International Workers' Day.
After a few years of absence, Sri Lanka will once again be present along with the rest of the foreign delegations in the activities that will be held in Cuba, on the occasion of May 1.
The Sri Lankan delegation is led by G. V. Tilakasiri, deputy general secretary of the Left Democratic Front, accompanied by a group of youth.
The Cuban ambassador thanked them for their participation in Cuba on such an important date, as well as wished them a happy stay in the Homeland of Martí, Fidel and Raúl, which will allow for closer ties between Cuba and Sri Lanka and told them that this year The traditional parade will take place at the José Martí Anti-imperialist Tribune in Havana.
