The Cuban ambassador to Thailand, Pedro Pablo San Jorge, together with the Cuban consul, Niurka de la O, participated in the Thai silk festival, with costumes designed by students of the Sukhothai vocational school.
This event, in which diplomats from all the embassies accredited in Thailand participate, is of great cultural relevance since silk is one of the most important traditional products of this country.
The Silk Festival not only celebrates Thailand's rich cultural heritage, but also serves as a platform for foreign diplomats to showcase their cultural heritages through costumes that are specially designed for each country by students from all of Thailand's vocational design schools.
