The Cuban ambassador in Turkmenistan speaks for important television network

The Cuban ambassador in Ashgabat, Alfredo Nieves Portuondo, gave an interview to the television station "Turkmenistan" about his work visit to this Central Asian nation.

In the interview, the Cuban diplomat referred to the official talks held during the visit and the state of diplomatic relations between the two nations.

The TV channel "Turkmenistan" was founded in 2004 and belongs to the Coordinating Council for Television and Broadcasting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.

The channel was created to inform the international community about the achievements of Turkmenistan as well as to further improve the country's information systems. It has positioned itself as the main television channel in this country.

The channel is broadcast in seven different languages: Turkmen, Russian, English, French, Chinese, Arabic and Persian. Its headquarters is located in its capital, Ashgabat.
