Cuban Ambassador to the UAE delivered invitation to the G77+China Summit, scheduled in Havana

Abu Dhabi, June 21- The Cuban Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Norberto Carlos Escalona Carrillo, delivered the official invitation letter to its President, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Arab nation, signed by his Cuban counterpart, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, for the Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Group of 77 and China, on current development challenges, the role of science, technology and innovation, to be held in Havana in September.
In a meeting held with the director of the Department of American Affairs, Al Saghira Al Ahbabi, to whom he delivered the facsimile of the invitation, the Cuban representative recognized the work of the Emirates, and in particular, its active agenda in 2023, towards the Conference of Climate Change, scheduled in Dubai in November, where the G77 must play a fundamental role, promoting common challenges on the environment and development.
Also present at the meeting on the Emirati side were the officials Mouza Alblooshi and Kawthar Alhabsi. The Second Secretary of the Cuban Embassy, Ailyn Martínez Sarduy, accompanied the Ambassador.
