Luxembourg, June 16, 2023. As part of her concurrence visit, the Cuban Ambassador, Anet Pino Rivero, held two meetings with the Director of Political Affairs of the Luxembourg Foreign Ministry, Mrs. Dominique Dockendorf and with the president of the Chamber of Deputies of Luxembourg, Mr. Fernand Etgen.
Pino Rivero offered both interlocutors an update on the economic and social situation in Cuba, highlighting the effects caused by the economic, financial and commercial blockade imposed by the United States Government against Cuba and the unfair inclusion of Cuba in the List of Sponsoring countries of Terrorism. The Luxembourg representatives ratified their support to the Cuban resolution that calls for an end to the inhuman blockade policy against the Caribbean island for more than 60 years.
During the meetings, both parties reviewed the state of bilateral relations and exchanged views on matters of regional and international interest such as the upcoming CELAC-European Union Summit, to be held in Brussels on July 17 and 18, 2023.
