Harare, April 22, 2025 – The Cuban Ambassador, Her Excellency Susellys Pérez Mesa, was received today by the highest authority of the Harare Institute of Technology (HIT), Vice-Chancellor Dr. Quinton C. Kanhukamwe, with whom she discussed topics of interest between the Caribbean nation and Zimbabwe.
During the cordial meeting, Pérez Mesa and Kanhukamwe discussed the progress of joint plans and projects in the field of biotechnology, identifying new areas of cooperation.
The Ambassador toured the HIT campus accompanied by the Vice-Chancellor and part of the team responsible for the planned work in accordance with agreements signed with Cuban institutions.
Both parties expressed confidence and a willingness to maintain ongoing communication to strengthen bilateral cooperation through the signing of new agreements.
Dr. Gomo of Biotech Zimbabwe and Minister-Counselor Luis Enrique González Acosta participated in the visit and exchanges.
