Cuban Ambassador visits Mansehra region and participates in solidarity activities with Cuba and rejection of the U.S. blockade
Mansehra, August 26–27, 2026. At the invitation of the Association of Pakistani Doctors Graduated in Cuba from the Mansehra-Abbottabad region and Cuban families residing in that area, the Ambassador of Cuba, Damián Cordero, attended the solidarity activities with the Cuban nation and against the criminal U.S. blockade held in that region.
The solidarity actions began with a caravan, followed by a rally rejecting the U.S. government's policy against Cuba, which featured Pakistani doctors graduated on the Island, Cuban mothers residing there with their children, and local friends in solidarity as protagonists.
Throughout all the activities, the Ambassador of Cuba had the opportunity to explain how the blockade against the Caribbean nation has intensified, particularly the energy siege that affects the daily life of the population.
He was also able to meet and exchange views with resident Cuban mothers and their children regarding changes in Cuban migration policy and the socio-economic transformations currently underway in the country.
Additionally, he was invited to visit the main sites affected in the region during the 2005 earthquake, particularly in the town of Balakot, including a polyclinic where the solidarity of the Cuban medical contingent was present from its arrival until its withdrawal after being deployed in the field for 8 months. In those places, both the working medical staff and the local community do not forget Cuba's supporting hand that saved so many lives after the disaster.
