Vientiane 2023. Cuban Ambassador Enna Viant visited the offices of the Pasaxon newspaper, organ of the Cuban Popular Revolutionary Party, on which occasion she was received by the Editor in Chief, Vanxay Tiyavanh.
A positive meeting in which the Cuban diplomat updated on the diverse national events and important processes that have taken place in the current year 2023, such as the March elections, Cuba's performance as pro tempore president of the G77 and China, as well as the celebration of the Summit in September, which had a broad participation of more than 30 Heads of State and Government. She highlighted the approval of the Cuban resolution that calls for ending the prolonged and intensified economic blockade that the island has suffered for more than 60 years, as well as the progress in the fulfillment of plans that affect the socioeconomic development of the country.
For his part, Tiyavanh updated his interlocutor on the history of the newspaper and the desire to strengthen ties with his Cuban counterpart, based on the historical relations of collaboration that exist between both Parties.
