Cuban ambassador visits the Pasteur Institute of Iran

Tehran, April 12, 2025. The Cuban ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Jorge Lefebre Nicolás, paid a working visit to the Pasteur Institute based in Tehran, a famous scientific institution dedicated to the research and production of biopharmaceutical products widely used in public health. For several decades, the Pasteur Institute has maintained close cooperation in the scientific area with Cuba, and whose most relevant result is the production of a joint vaccine against the coronavirus that has contributed to saving many lives in the Central Asian region.

The ambassador was received by Dr. Ehsan Mostafavi, general director of the Pasteur Institute, along with several of its directors, with whom he had an interesting exchange on the main scientific achievements of that laboratory, current and future projects, as well as evaluating the progress of joint cooperation.
