Cuban ambassador visits the Pasteur Institute of Iran

Tehran, April 12, 2025. The Cuban ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Jorge Lefebre Nicolás, paid a working visit to the Pasteur Institute based in Tehran, a famous scientific institution dedicated to the research and production of biopharmaceutical products widely used in public health. For several decades, the Pasteur Institute has maintained close cooperation in the scientific area with Cuba, and whose most relevant result is the production of a joint vaccine against the coronavirus that has contributed to saving many lives in the Central Asian region.

Havana, April 1, 2025. The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Josefina Vidal, received the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, H.E. Mr. Saeed Khatibzadeh, at the headquarters of the Cuban Foreign Ministry. During the meeting, they held a fruitful exchange on global and regional affairs, and the interest in deepening ties between Cuba and Iran in the most diverse areas, including research on international relations and law.
