Tehran, July 2, 2026. The official delegation from the Republic of Cuba, arriving to participate in the tribute ceremony for the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, reached the Iranian capital during the night.
The delegation, led by Cuba's Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Walter Baluja García, and including the Director of North Africa and the Middle East at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Armando Vergara Bueno—was welcomed at Imam Khomeini International Airport by the Director General for the Americas at the Iranian Foreign Ministry, H.E. Dr. Zahra Ershadi.
In addition to attending the funeral ceremonies, the delegation plans to hold other bilateral meetings with local officials.
