The Cuban athletics team obtains excellent results in the 2019 Special Olympics World Games

The Cuban athletics team gave a superb performance at the Special Olympics World Games in Abu Dhabi 2019, where its 4 members won 1 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze, as well as a 4th and 7th places.

The athlete Irina López García won a Gold medal in Long Jump and a 7th place in 100 meters.

Runner Mandy Yoiniel Mojena Valdés won silver medals in 400 and 800 meters.

For his part, the sprinter Roberto Fernandez won the Silver Medal in 100 meters and the Bronze Medal in Long Jump.

Also the sprinter Yulieser de la Caridad Ortega García won the Bronze Medal in 100 meters and achieved a 4th place in the 200 meters.

Cuban field and track athletes have been widely recognized and praised for the excellent results and performances obtained.
