As part of the 43rd International Tourism Fair (FITCuba 2025), Cuban entrepreneur Dayana Barreiro Vázquez, director of the Istluvindair travel agency based in Türkiye, actively participated in the segment dedicated to Cubans residing abroad, thus strengthening ties between the Cuban emigrant community and the development of the national tourism sector.
Barreiro Vázquez took part in the space FITCuba devotes to promoting the involvement of Cubans who, from abroad, contribute ideas, investments, and networks of collaboration to help strengthen Cuba as a destination in international markets. The director of Istluvindair emphasized the importance of building tourism and cultural bridges between Türkiye and Cuba, a goal she has pursued since founding her agency, which specializes in promoting Cuba in the Turkish market by designing authentic travel experiences that reflect the identity and richness of the Caribbean nation.
The segment dedicated to Cubans living abroad, promoted by Cuba’s Ministry of Tourism and supported by institutions of the Cuban community overseas, reaffirms the commitment of many Cubans outside the island to the economic and tourism development of their homeland. Its goal is to integrate emigrants into strategies for tourism promotion, responsible investment, and sustainable development.
