Georgetown, July 6, 2020. Early this morning, a group of 135 Cuban citizens stranded in Guyana due to the COVID-19 pandemic flew to Havana on board Flight BW 3437 of Caribbean Airlines. It has been scheduled to arrive in the country's capital at 1:10 p.m.
With this group, there are 4 flights in which a total of 437 Cuban citizens have returned to the homeland from Guyana. These flights were organized by the Government of Cuba in coordination with the Aruba and Caribbean airlines and the support of the authorities of Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana.
The Cuban Embassy to Guyana reiterates its gratitude to all the institutions, organizations, and individuals who have provided this flight and continue offering their solidarity to Cubans stranded in Guyana as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
