Cuban collaboration in the field of education moves forward in Bahamas

THE BAHAMAS, April 19, 2016. - As part of the collaboration in education between Cuba and The Bahamas, Cuban professors of "Felix Varela" Educational Brigade are present in several islands of the Bahamian archipelago, with very good educational results.

During the visit of the Ambassador of Cuba to The Bahamas, Ismara Walter M. Vargas, to the southern island of Long Island, the diplomat had the opportunity to exchange with Cuban collaborators who are in the island. The Cuban representation of teachers in Long Island is dominated by women. Mrs. Walter also met with executives of the school where they are working and with officials from the Ministry of Education of Long Island, who highlighted the professionalism of our teachers as well as their creativity and dynamism.

There is very good opinion of the local population about the work of Cuban teachers, considering the quality of education that they are transmitting and the high level of identification with the community.

Just a few months before the conclusion of the 2015-2016 school year, 44 Cuban professors in the Commonwealth of The Bahamas are teaching in different islands of the country with the same commitment and dedication as the first day.
