Accra, 17 November. – The delegation of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), headed by Yuneidys Imber Chaple, Deputy Head of the Department for Social Sector Affairs of the Central Committee of the PCC, paid tribute this morning to Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, eminent Pan-Africanist leader and founding father of Ghana’s independence.
During the visit to the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, the Cuban representative was briefed on the life and enduring legacy of the distinguished African statesman and signed the Memorial’s Golden Book.
Accompanying Imber Chaple were Julio E. Pujol Torres, Ambassador of Cuba to Ghana; Julio César Sánchez Martínez, Official of the International Relations Department of the Central Committee of the PCC; and Yamil Eduardo Martínez Marrero, Second Secretary of the Embassy.
* Dr. Nkrumah was conferred the honorary title “Osagyefo,” meaning “Redeemer” in the Akan language.
