NASSAU, December 18th, 2017.- Different manifestations of the Cuban culture were present during the 14th International Film Festival of The Bahamas, as part of the collateral events.
Although on this occasion no Cuban films were shown, Cuba was present carrying the richness of its cultural identity. Young Cubans showed a potpourri of traditional dances, accompanied by a tasty Cuban food, cocktails to promote Havana Club rum and the art of Cigar rolling, courtesy of the representation of the company Habanos S.A in Nassau.
For her part, the Founder and Executive Director of the Festival, Leslie Vanderpool, thanked the Ambassador of Cuba to The Bahamas, Ismara Vargas Walter, for providing the possibility of having the presence of Cuba in this event. She also highlighted the existing cultural exchange between the two countries.
The Bahamas International Film Festival that took place in Nassau, between December 10 and 17, closed its doors after having exhibited novel cinematographic proposals by prominent contemporary filmmakers who attended the event.
