New York, October 11, 2023.- The Cuban dance company Malpaso began this Tuesday, October 10, a series of presentations at the well-known Joyce Theater in Manhattan.
The company, directed by maestro Fernando Saenz, will be performing until next Sunday, October 15, with the work Dancing Island, which has the musical accompaniment of the Cuban pianist and composer Alejandro Falcón.
The Malpaso company enjoys international prestige and has worked with emblematic figures of the industry such as the Canadian Aszure Barton and the Americans Ronald K. Brown, Sonya Tayeh and Trey McIntyre, among others. Its creators stand out for the genius of their critically acclaimed choreographic proposals.
As noted on its website, the Joyce Theatre, opened in 1982, is internationally recognized for cultivating and honoring established and emerging dance artists whose works represent a wide range of aesthetic interests. It has welcomed more than 400 national and foreign companies.
