Dr. Alejandro F. Diaz Palacios, Cuban Ambassador to Türkiye, attended the excellent performance of the Cuban company Flamenco Ecos, directed by choreographer Ana Rosa Meneses, which participated in the Antalya Theater Festival.
During his presence at the performance, the Cuban Ambassador met with Hakan Dündar, Artistic and Technical Director of the State Theaters, Gökhan Tüzün, Director of the Antalya State Theaters, and Sabri Özmener, prominent Turkish actor. During their meeting, Tüzün discussed the possibilities of increasing collaboration and cultural exchanges with this province.
The head of the Cuban diplomatic mission also held a meeting with Gökhan Özlem ŞENDİNÇ and Durmuş BENLİ, actors and deputy directors of the Antalya State Theaters.
Within the framework of the cultural activity, Ambassador Diaz Palacios also exchanged with H.E. Hulusi Şahin, Governor of Antalya, who attended the performance of the Cuban company Flameco Ecos, and expressed to the Ambassador his admiration for Cuban culture.
At the end of the performance, the Ambassador congratulated the Cuban company for its outstanding performance, where flamenco is fused with the best of different Cuban musical genres such as guajira, montunu, son, guaguancó and bolero, which was recognized by the audience; as well as for its contribution to strengthening the image of Cuba in Türkiye. He also had a pleasant exchange with Cuban artists.
