Copenhagen, May 16, 2022. The Cuban delegation from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (CITMA), headed by the First Vice Minister, Jose Fidel Santana Nuñez, who traveled accompanied by Orlando Ernesto Rey Santos; concluded his visit to the Kingdom of Denmark, where the Ministerial Meeting on Implementation took place on May 12-13, in Copenhagen, towards COP27
The meeting, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), provided the opportunity for climate ministers to discuss the necessary measures to drive progress in implementation, in response to the commitments of the UNFCCC, the Paris Agreement, the previous Conferences between the Parties and, more recently, the Glasgow Climate Pact, and other related declarations of COP26.
The meeting was hosted by Denmark, and co-chaired by the UK and Egypt, as the respective current and incoming Presidencies of the COP.
The Ambassador of Cuba in Denmark, Roger López García, participated together with the visiting delegation, in the climate event developed.
