Cuban delegation from MINED conducted a diagnostic study on the teaching of Spanish language in Barbados.
The Cuban delegation composed of two MINED officials carried out a series of teaching-methodological activities to conduct a diagnostic study on the teaching of the Spanish language in Barbados, working together with officials of the Ministry of Education of Barbados and visited classes of Cuban and Barbadian teachers who teach Spanish language courses in primary and secondary education in Barbados.
The Ambassador of Cuba in Barbados, Yanet Stable Cárdenas and the methodologists of the Ministry of Education of Cuba had a meeting with David Comissiong, Ambassador of Barbados to CARICOM, to promote some methodological teaching ideas for what could be a future project of Spanish language teaching in the Caribbean region. They also had an exchange with some members of the Association of Parents of Autistic Children to diagnose problems and promote possible formation and training of professionals from various disciplines, for the care and special teaching of autistic people in its most diverse manifestations.
As a final result of the fruitful stay of our methodologists in Barbados, together with our Ambassador, they had a meeting with the Director of Education of the Ministry of Education and Technological and Vocational Training of Barbados and with the Minister of Education and the Permanent Secretary of Education, to present the conclusions of the work done by both, in the preparation of the diagnosis of Spanish language teaching, requested by the Ministry of Education of Barbados.
