Cuban delegation to President Rouhani’s investiture arrived in Tehran

The official delegation of the Republic of Cuba invited to the investiture of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hassan Rouhani, arrived at night in Tehran.

 

The delegation, headed by the vice-president of the Council of Ministers, Ulises Rosales del Toro, and integrated by the Director a.i. for North Africa and Middle East at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Roberto Blanco Domínguez, was received at Imam Khomeini international airport by General Director for Americas at the Persian Foreign Ministry, Mohammad Keshavarz Zadeh, as well as the Cuban Ambassador to Iran, Vladimir González Quesada.

 

In addition to participating in the investiture ceremony, Ulises Rosales and its accompanied delegation are planning to hold other bilateral meetings with local authorities, including an audience with President Rohaní himself.

 

On May 19th, 2017, the last presidential elections were held in the Islamic Republic of Iran, in which Rouhani won with 57.14% of the votes. This will allow the president to perform for a second period of four years.
