Dublin October 1, 2018. Deputy Finian McGrath, Minister of State in the Department of Social Protection, Justice and Equality and Health with special responsibilities for disabilities, received in his offices Ana Teresita González Fraga, vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, who is completing the third day of her work schedule in Ireland.
Both sides exchanged views on the various issues addressed by Minister McGrath, which in Cuba constitutes priorities in the government's performance, as reflected by the way in which these issues are dealt with in the text of the new Constitution that is the subject of broad popular debate and will be submitted to referendum in February 2019. The possibilities of future collaboration between the two countries in these areas were also a reason for exchange.
The Cuban vice Minister expressed to Minister McGrath the deep appreciation for his sustained solidarity with Cuba and support for the development of bonds of friendship and collaboration between our peoples and governments.
