Cuban diplomatic representation attended a meeting with the President of the Federal National Council of the UAE

ABU DHABI, January 31, 2023 – The President of the UAE Federal National Council, H.E. Saqr Ghobash held a meeting with Ambassadors and diplomatic representatives of Latin American and Caribbean countries, accredited to the United Arab Emirates. The meeting was attended by the Second Secretary of the Cuban Embassy, ​​Ailyn Martínez Sarduy.

The host, the highest authority of the legislative body, noted that the UAE's foreign policy has distinguished itself since its inception by building bridges of friendship and expanding cooperation with all countries of the world. He added that the UAE has distinguished relations with the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean, based on cooperation and respect. He pointed out the importance of developing joint mechanisms and innovative work tools to build capacities and exchange experiences, as well as analyze prospects for bilateral alliances in the political, economic, commercial, parliamentary, cultural and tourism fields, etc.

For their part, the Latin American and Caribbean diplomats reiterated their countries' interest in strengthening parliamentary relations in various fields, with an emphasis on exchanges of visits and experiences, better coordination and consultations on issues of common interest, in order to contribute to promoting the ties of friendship between the UAE and their respective nations.
