January 1st, 2019, Saint Lucia: The members of the Cuba’s State Mission Group in Saint Lucia, headed by Ambassador Alejandro Simancas Marin, celebrated the new year and the 60th Anniversary of the Cuban Revolution on January 1st ; the Cuba national day. The Cuban Diplomats and cooperators, joined by Saint Lucian friends, organized a festive activity in the Cuban tradition and in correspondence with the time of Cuba they sang the notes of the Cuban National Anthem and followed the official program for the national day in the island of Cuba. More than 30 Cuban Specialists, fundamentally in the field of the medicine, but also in the area of Sports and construction work in Saint Lucia and contribute to the development of this country. Among those present were, Marlene Alexander, President of the Saint Lucia – Cuba Friendship Association and the Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Saint Lucia, H.E. Leiff Escalona.
