Cuban diplomats meet defenders of the environment.

Waiheke Island, January 31. Ambassador Edgardo Valdés and Consul Dalila Vázquez met on this island with Ivan Kitson, Natasha Beletzky, and Colin Beardon, who from different positions carry out meritorious work to protect the environment and the flora and fauna of this region.

Both parties presented their experiences in terms of national parks and protected areas, international cooperation, and sustainability of the projects.

They talked about the characteristics and potential of ecotourism and agreed to keep in touch and promote the exchanges between specialists and institutions from both countries.
