On February 16, the rector of the University of Ioannina Triantafylos Albanis, received in his office the Cuban ambassador to Greece Zelmys Maria Dominguez Cortina and the counselor José Oriol Marrero Martinez. He was accompanied by leaders of the Association of Administrative Staff of the University of Ioannina. It was discussed the current situation in Cuba, the blockade, Cuba's achievements in Education, Health and Science, the confrontation with the pandemic, as well as other aspects of interest in the Cuban reality. On his part, the Rector presented the university and highlighted his love and admiration for the Cuban people.
The diplomats were in the city for the presentation of the book by José Oriol Marrero Martínez José Martí and the Greek'” at the “Dimitris Hatzis” cultural complex, an event organized by the members of the aforementioned University association.
