Cuban Education Brigade in Jamaica is renewed

Cuban Educational Brigade in Jamaica is renewed.

Kingston, 29 August 2022. The Ambassador of Cuba in Jamaica, Fermín Quiñones Sánchez, together with officials of the diplomatic mission and officials of the Ministry of Education and Youth of Jamaica, received this morning 12 new members of the Cuban Educational Brigade in Jamaica who arrived at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston, to join the new school year in September.
The arrival of these new teachers contributes to the reaffirmation of the historic relations of educational collaboration between Cuba and Jamaica, initiated in November 1997 and ratified with the signing of the Cooperation Agreement for Professional and Academic Assistance in May 2021.
The trainees will teach Spanish, mathematics and basic sciences, and will serve in different educational centres throughout Jamaica.
