Cuban Embassy in Egypt Participates in Folk Art Exhibition Featuring Latin American and Caribbean Countries

Cairo, October 6, 2026. The Cuban Embassy in Egypt participated, along with 11 other Latin American and Caribbean countries, in a folk art exhibition held at the Salah Taher Hall of the Cairo Opera House.

The exhibition showcased artistic expressions that reflect the diversity and spirit of Latin American culture, influenced by nature and traditions passed down through generations.

Ecuador’s Ambassador, Denis Toscano, Dean of the Latin American and Caribbean Ambassadors, welcomed attendees to the event and highlighted the cultural and artistic richness of Latin America, whose peoples share many commonalities while also maintaining unique distinctive traits that were evident in the works of art on display.

In the case of Cuba, wooden sculptures and traditional ceramic pieces were on display, reflecting part of the Caribbean island’s culture, which is internationally recognized for its strength and authenticity.

The opening ceremony was well attended by Egyptians interested in Latin American culture and members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Cairo. (EmbaCuba Egipto)
