Accra, August 13, 2026. - We commemorated the centenary of the birth of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz with a moving ceremony at the AMA Auditorium in Accra. The book *Quotes from Fidel Castro: The Echo of the Voice of Freedom*, by Panying Anaman, was presented; a documentary produced by Panafrican TV was screened; and the Freedom Band performed songs composed especially for the occasion. The event, organised by ESBECAN (the association of Cuban graduates), the Socialist Movement of Ghana and the Embassy, amongst others, was attended by members of the Diplomatic Corps, Cuban residents, the Campaign for Solidarity with Cuba and members of our State Mission, and served as a heartfelt tribute to the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution.
