Organized by the Cuban teacher, Yolanda Nelson, a multidisciplinary contest was held at Sharon Primary School, especially dedicated to highlighting the relevance of the Spanish language in the Barbadian public education system, to which the Ambassador and the Consul of Cuba were especially invited, who also participated in the awarding of those students who competed in the modalities of oratory, reading and song; the activity, that counted with Cuban professors in the jury that dictated in each discipline of the competition, culminated in a joyful journey of celebration, dancing and singing, in which professors and students were fused and where there was a great winner: the Spanish language.
