Kingston, Jamaica, 1 January 2021. In a simple political-cultural-recreational activity, the collective of the Embassy of Cuba in Jamaica celebrated this Friday the advent of new year 2021 and the 62nd Anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution.
On this occasion, due to the measures in place to control the spread of Codiv-19 in Jamaica, the celebration was postponed to January 1 at noon, and the traditional New Year's Eve dinner became a luncheon. Also in observance of sanitary measures, the celebration was attended by a limited number of participants.
However, this did not diminish the enthusiasm of the group, who showed satisfaction at the congratulatory words by the Head of the State Mission, Ambassador Inés Fors, for year 2020´s achievements and her exhortation not to give in to the attempts of the US government and his lackeys to destroy the Revolution.
Participants recalled the words of the President of the Republic of Cuba at the Session of the National Assembly on December 21, 2019, when he said: “Let's live the next days and hours as if the Revolution had triumphed again. The Revolution triumphs every time we snatch a victory from the empire for our cause. We have all reasons to party. […] They shoot to kill but we are alive… alive, celebrating and determined to keep winning."
