Kingston, Jamaica, 13 August 2020. The collective of the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in Jamaica celebrated this Thursday the 94th anniversary of the birth of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz. The political-cultural-recreational activity was held at the Embassy´s headquarters by a small group of participants in observance of the measures adopted to control the spread of Covid-19.
At the event, chaired by the Head of the Cuban State Mission in Jamaica, Ambassador Inés Fors Fernández, participants were delighted by the projection of audiovisual materials, followed by poems, improvisations and songs about the life and work of the leader of the Cuban Revolution. They also enjoyed a birthday cake specially dedicated to the occasion.
At the end of the activity it was read a work of collective creation, resulting from adding the responses of all members of the Embassy´s staff to a challenge launched by the Ambassador: they had to complete a sentence that began with the phrase FIDEL is ...
