Kuala Lumpur, August 8, 2025. The Cuban Embassy in Malaysia participated in the celebration of the 58th anniversary of the creation of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
The current Malaysian Presidency of this regional bloc commemorated the date with a colorful event, which was also attended by the Member States of the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia, to which Cuba is a Party. We enjoy the cultural diversity of ASEAN members with a warm welcome at the stand of the Philippines and Brunei, countries we attended as concurrencies, and at the stand of our vietnamese friends.
The anniversary was an opportune moment to reaffirm the commitment to peace, security, and prosperity toward an inclusive and sustainable future.
