Cuban Embassy in Malaysia Participates in Solidarity Event with Venezuela

Kuala Lumpur, January 4, 2026. The #Cuban Embassy in Malaysia participated in a solidarity event with Venezuela held in front of the embassy's headquarters in the Asian country.

Cuban Ambassador Yadira Ledesma Hernández stated at the event that: it is the duty of all defenders of peace and international law to demonstrate in public squares around the world, condemning the illegal military aggression by the #USA against civilian and military installations in Venezuelan cities, which constitutes an act of state terrorism; denouncing the criminal kidnapping of the legitimate and constitutional president of #Venezuela, #NicolásMaduro Moros, and his wife, Cilia Flores; demanding their unconditional and immediate release; and demanding full respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Venezuela, and its inalienable right to self-determination without interference or appropriation of its natural resources.

The Cuban diplomat reminded everyone that we are the heirs of Bolívar, Martí, Fidel Castro, and Chávez, and that, as Che Guevara said: nothing to imperialism, not even a little bit; that the independence of Our America has cost much blood and we will continue to defend it.

The vigil held in Kuala Lumpur reaffirmed support for Venezuela and the release of its president, Nicolás Maduro, reiterated solidarity with Cuba and the peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean under imperialist threat, and condemned the illegal and unacceptable actions of the U.S. government; in front of the U.S. Embassy, members of the Socialist Party of Malaysia marched demanding respect for the right to peace.

There is no better tribute to the 32 Cubans who heroically lost their lives in combat, fulfilling their internationalist duty on Venezuelan soil, than to raise our voices in condemnation and rejection of the barbarity and imperialist ambition that is once again trying to seize control of Our America.
