Nigeria, June 18th, 2023. A group from the Cuban embassy in Abuja and Cuban residents in this country organized an emotional meeting to celebrate Fathers' Day.
The ambassador designated for Nigeria, Miriam Morales Palmero, extended congratulations to those present and to all the Cuban parents on this emotional day and emphasized the need to continue promoting stronger ties of unity and camaraderie among all Cubans, while highlighting how Countless groups of Cubans abroad and friends of Cuba always support the Island in difficult circumstances, as has happened in recent weeks due to the effects of the intense rains in eastern Cuba.
At the meeting, Cuban Residents in Nigeria thanked the parents for their recognition through this emotional activity and recognized the importance of maintaining close ties with the Cuban embassy.
The Cuban government convened the IV Nation and Emigration Conference in November 2023 in Havana, a sign of its interest in continuing to promote unity and care for the Cuban community abroad.
