Oslo, March 11, 2024. On the occasion of International Women's Day, which was celebrated on March 8, the Cuban Embassy in Norway organized an activity to pay tribute to a group of Norwegian, Latin American and Cuban female friends, as well as to the women who make up its staff.
Mr. Daffne Ernesto Mirabal García, Second Secretary, in his central words, recalled the origin and meaning of the commemoration, and conveyed sincere congratulations to the women from all over the world, particularly those present.
Profound phrases by José Martí, videos of emblematic Cuban songs dedicated to women and a concert by the “Anacaona” orchestra, along with beautiful roses and congratulatory cards, were special gifts for the occasion.
Cuban resident Bárbaro Maikel Mendoza made a special contribution to the event by reading a fragment of a literary work that exalts women´s qualities. (Embassy of Cuba in Norway)
