The Ambassador of Cuba to Ghana, Mr. Pedro Luis Despaigne González, and his wife, participated in the awards night for the Excellence of Healthcare in West Africa 2018, which was held at the Mövempick Ambassador Hotel in Accra.
At the ceremony, the Cuban Ambassador conveyed the greetings to the awardees and ratified Cuba's willingness to continue cooperating with the African countries in improving their health standards. He also announced that in 2019 there will be a massive graduation of more than 200 young Ghanaians who are currently studying medicine on the Caribbean island.
After the award ceremony, the Cuban ambassador offered statements to the local television press accredited at the event, where he addressed elements of the history of cooperation in health between the two countries.
