Victoria, 17 June._ The Cuban Ambassador to Seychelles participated in the reception offered by the Russian Ambassador to Victoria, Artyon Kozhim, on the occasion of their National Day.
The date commemorates the Declaration of National Sovereignty of the Russian Federation, approved on June 12, 1990 by the first Congress of People's Deputies of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic (RSFSR), after the beginning of the process of disintegration of the USSR. In 1992 the date was proclaimed a national holiday and in 2002 it officially began to be called Russia Day.
The reception was attended by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, the Ministers of Investment and Education, Foreign Ministry officials, members of the diplomatic corps and friends of Russia in Seychelles.
