Cuban Ambassador attends Russian National Day celebration in Seychelles

Victoria, 18 June._ The Cuban Ambassador to Seychelles attended, together with the Minister Counselor of the mission, the celebration of the Russian National Day in Seychelles.

Several ministers, personalities, diplomats, businessmen and a representation of students in the former USSR participated in the reception hosted by the Ambassador of the Russian Federation, Artyom Kozhin.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Tourism, Sylvestre Radegonde and Ambassador Kozhim highlighted in their speeches the strong ties of cooperation between the two nations.

Cuban and Russian Presidents hold phone conversation

The Cuban Foreign Ministry announced that the island's President, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, and his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, held a phone conversation on Monday morning.

A statement from the Foreign Ministry described the talks as cordial and fruitful'.

"The two Heads of State reviewed the excellent relations between the two countries and discussed further development of bilateral cooperation in various spheres. They also exchanged views on international and regional agenda issues," the ministry said on Monday.
