The Counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in Türkiye, Oscar Redondo Ramos, held a cordial meeting with Ms. Nilgün Ök, Member of Parliament for Denizli representing the Justice and Development Party (AKP) and Secretary of the Planning and Budget Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (TBMM).
During the meeting, both parties exchanged views on the positive state of bilateral relations between Cuba and Türkiye and emphasized the importance of strengthening inter-parliamentary ties as a means to expand cooperation in the economic, commercial, educational, and cultural fields.
Counsellor Redondo Ramos expressed Cuba’s interest in further deepening relations with Türkiye and conveyed appreciation for the Turkish government and people’s support of Cuba in various international fora.
For her part, Deputy Nilgün Ök highlighted the existing opportunities for collaboration between the two countries and reaffirmed the willingness of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye to contribute to the strengthening of friendship and mutual understanding.
The meeting took place in an atmosphere of cordiality and mutual respect, reaffirming the shared commitment to continue advancing the historic relations of cooperation between Cuba and Türkiye.
